These English barometers are all known as Coastal Barometers. They were made by several British makers, based upon the weather predicting "Rules for Foretelling The Weather" devised by Admiral Fitzroy, known for his association with Charles Darwin, and his surveys aboard HMS Beagle. These particular barometers are becoming increasingly scarce, in common with barometers of all types.
